Hilary Vandemeer is the main antagonist in LNMNK.

Personality[]

Hilary is a complex character in the Lalaloopsy: Nuu Majikaru, Nuu Kawaii fanseries, who initially serves as a rival to Bridgette and her friends. She is confident and ambitious, driven by her desire to excel in various areas of her life. Her confidence sometimes leads her to come across as snobbish, but it stems from her constant pursuit of perfection and the need to uphold certain expectations placed upon her. She takes her studies seriously and strives for academic success.

While Hilary often clashes with Bridgette and her friends, she has her own insecurities and vulnerabilities. Her perfectionistic tendencies stem from a fear of failure and not living up to the high standards set by her family. These moments of vulnerability allow viewers to empathize with her character and understand her motivations better.

As the series progresses, Hilary experiences personal growth and begins to question her previously judgmental behavior. She gradually realizes the value of friendship and the negative impact of her actions on others. This growth leads to a gradual shift in her attitude towards Bridgette and her friends, opening the door for potential redemption and reconciliation.

In later episodes, her bullying ways and views toward others are revealed to be a result of her upbringing by her mother, who harbors an equal if not deeper contempt for the common social class. Though Hilary acts according with her mother's teachings, she secretly wants to be better. After standing up to her mother, she displays a friendlier and more generous side, guiding others through her natural-born leadership. She is now friends with Bridgette and accepts her the way she is.

She appears frequently.

Relationships[]

Family[]

Her dad is the principal of Richardson Middle School. As revealed in Romance Drama, she has a little sister named Sally, whom Timmy, Bridgette's brother, likes. Hilary's mother works as the head of the school board, and her dictatorial parenting has resulted in Hilary's condescending nature towards her classmates.

Friends[]

She has a clique called The Fashionistas, composed of herself, Margarita Santiago, Ashley Baker, Chi-Len Lee, Kate McReader, and Elizabeth Davidson. They are all individuals with their own unique personalities and struggles. Instead of being a unified group solely focused on bullying, they have their own personal growth arcs and challenges, which leads to their eventual separation from Hilary as they question her behavior.

Her semi-friend is Rick. While she started off as somewhat bossy around him, their interactions evolve into a complex dynamic where they develop a deeper understanding of one another. Rick's unwavering support and encouragement play a significant role in Hilary's journey towards change and self-reflection.

Romance[]

She has a crush on Rick, but he didn't like her because she was a bully. However, Hilary does not really like Rick. She is jealous of Bridgette because Nate likes Bridgette more than Hilary. The only times where Hilary gets infatuated with Rick is when Bridgette and her group come along, covering up her unrequited love for Nate by "flirting" with Rick.

Enemies[]

Her main rivals were Bridgette, Victoria, Molly, John, Andrew, and later Suki, Wendy, and Big Bob. She bullied them and tattles on them in class.
